Gretchen's GLM17 is a timeless men's glove that combines classic elegance with traditional glove-making craftsmanship. Three points on the back of the hand, finished with a whipstitch, add a subtle fashionable touch. An elasticated insert on the palm side keeps the glove securely in place at the wrist. Inside, a soft and cosy fleece lining keeps your hands comfortably warm on cold winter days, whether on your way to the office or on a weekend walk.
Crafted from particularly fine-structured Italian lamb nappa leather, this glove impresses with its soft and naturally warm feel, a quality found only in the finest fully aniline-dyed glove leathers. To guarantee a perfect fit, experienced cutting masters worked the leather by hand using the so-called table-cutting method, repeatedly pulling each piece of leather powerfully over the wooden edge of the cutting table. You should therefore buy your table-cut gloves slightly tight-fitting at first. As you wear them in, they adapt to the shape of your hand.
Sewn on a special pique machine, the GLM17 also stands out for its particularly fine seams. In this technique, which only a few seamstresses in Europe still master, the leather overlaps just once, so the seam is barely noticeable when worn. It is rightly known as the "queen of seams".
